Better Late than Never

*Le temps des Fêtes était toujours mouvementé pour Masashi, et même si l'an dernier n'avait pas pu être plus chaotique et surprenant, cette année semblait encore plus folle. Le OHU avait tiré à sa fin, puis ca avait été la course aux cadeaux, les pratiques intensives pour la danse des DreamCatchers, les pratiques intensives pour la pièce pour le Countdown, célébrer Noel. Ryoku et Masashi avaient donc coupé sur l'activité la moins essentielle : dormir. Mais pour le départ vers la salle des spectacles, où ils devaient être bien tôt, les deux étaient à la fois excités et endormis. La route était plus longue que ce que Masashi croyait, ou peut-être roulait-il plus lentement que prévu?*

T_T Pourquoi on doit être là aussi tôt, c'est terrible. Au moins... nos deux spectacles vont assez bien, ne? On a vraiment une chorégraphie d'enfer pour notre Private Wars ^-^!

Une chance que tu es là Ryo, avec tes talents en danse, on a suremnet la meilleure chorégraphie qui soit ^-^!
Vu tout ce qu'on a à faire, c'est un luxe dont on n'aurait pas pu se passer!

Tu penses vraiment? On dirait que plus la représentation approche, plus j'en doute..

You seem confident, Masa, and that fills me with joy, but Im scared too. What stunt will those vicious pull on us? And what amazing choreography will show us those D-Teks? After seeing that video.. I couldn't help but worry. The same artist roots, but a total other level. If I do know one thing of Silver, it's that his singing's his true talent. So in dancing maybe.. just maybe we've got a chance.

* A demi étendu sur le siège passager, bien au chaud dans son jacket à chapeau, et serrant son délicieux cappucino dans ses mains, Ryoku était légèrement tourné vers Masashi qui conduisait, mais avait appuyé sa tête sur l'appui, et sommeillait presque ainsi à ses côtés. Il tentait de tout son être de ne pas paraître aussi stressé qu'il ne l'était réellement. *

Je dois admettre être plus fier du résultat ^^ ! Et vraiment impressionné de toute l'équipe.. apprendre cela aussi vite et bien..

On a tous la flamme de la passion...le désir de montrer tous nos talents et aussi de clouer un peu le bec aux autres qui se croient tout permis. C'est nous les meneurs, ne? Sur tous les niveaux.

I know you're scared, I know this Silver guy maybe you doubt yourself. These D-Teks...and the Vicious too, they're playing with us, but there's no way we'll let them win. I won't let this singer go over you. I won't let this Arashi-san destroy you and your hopes and your dreams. The DreamCatchers are here and we're giving it our all. We all have something to prove...and most of us to those D-Teks. Even Miyuki.

*Masashi était bien content d'avoir un cruise-control, et un capuccino. Il ne voulait pas empêcher Ryoku de dormir en chemin, mais avait bien peur de succomber lui aussi alors il devait essayer de se garder éveillé. Il afficha un grand sourire malgré sa fatigue. Tout arrivait en même temps, mais les deux voulaient être à leur meilleur partout en même temps.*

Nous voulons tous te rendre fier aussi, ta chorégraphie est excellente et nous met tous en valeur. Elle est in sync avec la musique aussi, et c'est un talent que seul toi a. Je t'avoue que j'ai été surpris, je ne pensais pas que Miyuki serait aussi bonne ^^' elle en a vraiment dedans, cette fille-là! Je pensais qu'elle aurait l'air effacée à côté de Yasunari, mais elle fait clairement sa place et son charme ! Elle a l'air de rien, et pourtant!

Hehe, I know what you mean, but seriously, Miyuki's always on the beat. That's why she's always been my DanceDance partner ^-^ ! I was afraid she wouldn't match Yasunari he way you do match Nishi-chan but the result's perfect. We've got sexiness on one side and charisma on the other. I can't wait to see it all, with the stage, the costumes and all, it's going to be crazy, OMG ! ^____^

* Plus Ryoku parlait, plus il s'excitait. Visblement ceci lui tenait énormément à coeur et il avait tout donné pour le succes de ce spectacle. La musique était inspirante, et son équipe extrêmement willing et encourageante. Aucun des quatre n'Avait rouspété ou hésité. Ils avaient tous fait tel qu'il le demandait. Contre toute attente ils étaient encore meilleurs que prévu. Ryoku était ravi et rougit légèrement sur sn siège, se cachant timidement en haussant ses épaules. *

But you know, you're the one that surprised me the most. You were the only one I had never seen in a group dance, you know =^^=

I thought you'd have trouble memorizing steps, or you'd do too much, or be all over the place, but you took it as seriously as I do take acting, and.. it means a lot to me, Masa.

I.. I actually never danced in a group before ^-^! I'm pretty excited to be a part of this, and especially with all of you. It was important to me to be a good student to my dance teacher, ne ^~ ?

It means a lot to me that you're saying that, Ryo. I'm not a dancer, and I'm not into music either, but I do love to dance. I just... this was my opportunity to prove to you that I'll give it my all with you, just like you've given me your all with acting. I took your choregraphy, and your steps and corrections, very carefully and to heart. You're the expert, and above all, I wanted to satisfy you.

*Heureusement, la route était simple et Masashi n'avait pas trop à y porter d'attention particulière. Il sourit et fit un petit coup d'oeil en direction de Ryoku, visiblement content d'avoir été son élève à son tour et que celui-ci soit enchanté de danser à ses côtés. Nishiko et lui faisaient une paire très coordonnée, mais Miyuki et Yasunari avaient effectivement un charisme bien particulier.*

I'm glad I was able to take part in your art, you know ^^ I hope... I hope we'll get to do it again, ne? I really can't wait to perform on the stage, and with the costumes too ^-^! It's as exciting as the Countdown, ne? Our OHU fans picked all three of us as "special idols" so we'll be even more excited to give our best ^~ 

Special idols... I remember hors you all got called in before me. I though I would die of jealousy. But then they give me Silver as a partner... in a way it took away all my resolutions.. but after cooling down, i realised I probably would've been jealous "not" to have been his partner. Masa and Yasunari are not dancers. They're both sexy, fast learners and talented, but it's not the same thing. That's why they are partners.

Teacher.. oh no, not at all ^^''' ! Masa you know it ain't true. I've got nothing to teach, I don't even know how to. I just love to dance, and express the music with my body. Im just lucky my partners were willing to follow me the way I intented to.

* Tendant une main chaude vers Masashi, Ryoku caressa son bras avec amour. Celui-ci avait tant donné pour lui, mais aussi pour son propre fame. Il était vraiment fier, de se produire à ses côtés. Il ne s'Était pas pris pour le professeur, simplement pour quelqun de plus expériementé. Après tout, la relation prof/élève qu'il entretenait avec Masashi était pour lui très sacrée. *

I must admit I don't really know which show excites me more =^^= ! We've been practicing our countdown for months though, it's more refined, there's more love. However Im crazy about this idol idea. I really can't wait !!

Haha ^^ I'm looking forward to both shows ! They're not the same, true, but I think we both gave them all of our love, devotion and pushed ourselves too. In a way, if we had more time, we would've done the same for this dance than for our play, ne?

I'm not taking this lightly at all. I'm very excited about it, not just for the dancing part but for everything we've accomplished together.

*Masashi sentit la main de Ryoku sur lui et lui sourit en réponse. Bien qu'il comprenait que ce n'était pas leur relation inverse, c'était quand même Ryoku qui avait monté la chorégraphie et les avait coaché. Il était l'artiste au coeur de tout ceci et Masashi en était bien fier.*

You were really passionate and devoted Ryo, we all felt the love you felt for this music, for this dance, and you were really good at expressing your ideas. You helped us with the most challenging parts for each of us and even paid close attention to how we move and dance to adapt your choregraphy for us, to put to the front the best of us. That, that's what makes us above all the other teams.

We have strengths and weaknesses, just like all the other teams. But opposed to them, we know how to make shine and bright of our strengths to hide our weaknesses and look our best. And that's probably our greatest strength, and yet the reason we're the #1 rival opportunity.

* Ryoku était extrêmement touché de comment Masashi avait remarqué la dévotion et l'amour que Ryoku avait mit dans peaufiner la danse pour mettre en avant le meilleur de chacun. Ila vait écouté la musique sans cesse sur le chemin du retour, et puis s'était levé avant les autres le lendemain pour commencer à aller tenter quelques moves. Il avait tant à prouver, qu'il ne pouvait pas s'arrêter. De plus, montrer Masashi aussi beau qu'il le voyait et le croyait capable était une tâche qu'il prenait réellemnt au sérieux. Il désirait également montrer que celui-ci était parfaitement dans son élément à ses côtés. Même si Masashi conduisait, Ryoku alla déposer un baiser sur sa joue, souriant avec fierté et amour. *

For one night, I've dreamt back of singing for my band... and you as a "special guest star" in my video clips.. in my dances... on my stage. Isn't it the most beautiful dream? Yet I fear it's nothing but one more silly fantasy so Im not ready to tell you. I don't know if Ill ever be. Let's see... how this goes.

For a choreographist, placing his dancers, showing them how to move, is a bit a way to complete his artwork you know. The final result is the true masterpiece... and for this one, with you in it.. it will truly be amazing. So Im.. Im very happy you liked it. I was afraid you might... I don't know.. think it wouldn't be good enough. Your eye's pretty good to know what's winning material and what isn't.

*Masashi sentit le baiser sur sa joue et sourit, se tournant un peu pour regarder Ryoku avec amour pour un court instant avant de retourner ses yeux sur la route. En temps normal, il aurait pu le regarder un peu plus longtemps, mais avec son niveau de fatigue, il était plus prudent. Il écouta les paroles de son amoureux avec attention, alors que celui-ci lui expliquait toute l'importance de son art. Masashi se baignait dans ses paroles, ressentant toute la passion de Ryoku et son implication pour ce qu'il faisait.*

Haha ^^' Well thank you for believing I've got such good eyes to identify winning material ! That's how I got you, afterall ^~ I think you showed great professionalism in how you thought the dance up, how you made us practice and how you placed us and everything. I don't think I'm the reason this dance show will be a masterpiece, but I'm sure glad I'm a part of it ^-^! It's a masterpiece because of how we unite together, and how you make us dance to our best moves.

I'm not the star of our team. Neither is Yasunari. And even if I want to be lovey-dovey and say that you are, I think it would be a false statement. To me, clearly you shine the brightest. But you aren't at your very best yet, so you can't shine as much as I know you can. What makes us a masterpiece, is because we all work hard and towards the same goals, with the same energy and ambitions.

*Masashi descendit une main sur la cuisse de Ryoku et la caressa chaleureusement. Meme ça, ils avaient diminué leur cadence habituelle avec leur horaire trop chargé. Mais bon, ils n'avaient certainement pas cessés. Juste d'avoir un contact avec Ryoku lui fiasait toujours un bien fou, et lui permettait de ressentir toute la force de leur amour.*

I agree. This is a team effort, and as a team we'll show that the Dream Catchers are aiming for victory again!! ^_^

Being part of the team is easier for me than being alone, like when we did Gravitation. Ken and Set helped me out during the presentation, and the girls too, but it was really like my singing against the world, wereas now we share the victory as well as the failures. Of course I'd be blamed if the choreography wasn't good, but I sincerly believe it's great. Just like all we did. And furthermore, we discover more and more talents of each one of us.

Masa, I feel better now. I really am ready to give it my all! ^^ As a Dream Catcher, and as a special idol ! Well a couple more hours of sleep could've... like given us a bit more strenght but we can still do it. Ive got the feeling we'll have to represent the special idols ... maybe in a videoclip? Like they did for the opening??

Oooh that's an interesting thought ! I hadn't really thought about "why" we're special idols or what they'll make us do. I just thought it was a vote or something and that we'd look more awesome than the others^^'' But you're right, maybe we will do something as awesome as the videoclip opening, ne? You know to replace the one they did. That was just to give us the vibe, ne?

We totally have to be a part of it, I mean, heck, the three of us are way too awesome and we're the winning team! Yeah, we totally rule!!

But I gotta say...if they do that...wouldn't it be a bit sexist? I mean the "special idols" could only be men, and clearly Nishi-chan and Miyuki-chan were pretty insulted about this ^^'

It's funny. If the girls were to be a "special idols crew" , Nishi-chan and Miyuki-chan would totally be part of it, just like the DreamCatchers boys. Also definitely Rei. And that Natsuki girl. Hey it would be the girls of the same teams! Maeko the Queen would be the exception ^-^'

Yeah... hey but this OHU thingy's really big ne? it's actually on the television, and it's bringing on trips... I expect there'll be other "special" events where maybe the girls will be up front!! If they go with the votes of the favorites, we definetely have to keep working hard to be on the top of the polls!!

Ils avaient été tenus dans le silence de l'ampleur des cotes d'Écoute... parce qu'ils étaient trop occupés pour savoir. Ryoku passa une main dans sa chevelure, ses yeux brillants d'exciation. *

Seriously, i can't believe we're aired on TV ! Our lives could change completly with this! Especially for the dance, for me it truly changes a lot of things!

I hope.. this can help me decide which way I should go as a career...

It really means a lot... it's a mystery how life brought us all there, ne? I mean, who would've thought? We were just going to take part in a new event at the convention and now... we're gonna be on TV ! ^-^ Everything we did was on TV so far too... the little acting, the pokemon, the Loveless, everything!

And even that stupid kiss >.> ... oh and also what we did underneath the table ~ ! Hehe Ryo, we gotta keep this up. Be the prettiest, be the sexiest, catch everyone's eyes and make ourselves famous. Let's show the world how we are True Heroes, ne?

C'était vraiment une occasion en or, pour ne pas faire de jeux de mots, et Ryoku semblait définitivement plus enclin à le relever que lors de l'annonce le dimanche soir. Il ne pouvait en être plus enchanté, car Ryoku méritait clairement de montrer toutes ses couleurs et chacun de ses talents.Il n'avait pas gagné ce scholarship pour rien. Il n'était pas le "petit prodige" de Arashi-san pour rien. Masashi avait confiance que Ryoku leur prouverait, aux D-Teks, à tous ceux du OHU, à tout le Japon, combien il était talentueux et une véritable star.*

I was so distracted, or tired, that I forgot where exactly we were going. My brain functioned on "its OHU so its the congress center >.>" Baka!

*Masashi prit la sortie et fit le U-turn pour retourner de l'autre sens, car ils devaient reprendre l'autre chemin et prendre une autre sortie. Un léger détour de 10-15minutes. Masashi poussa un petit soupir avant de secouer la tête et reprendre un sourire. Ca ne changerait rien à leur situation s'il déprimait ou frustrait alors il préférait garder la bonne attitude.*

Aside from this little delay... I'm sure it will be fine, Ryo. I recall seeing Silver looking rather happy to have you as his partner, no? I mean, he probably heard good things about you ! This guy obviously ain't there for fame.. he already has it >.> Heck maybe he's here to become a better dancer? To become a better team member? You have all ahead of you, while he has a career to upstand and his reputation too. The stakes are high on both sides, but you... well you have nothing to lose, so you can perform even better this way ^~

And you're not gonna be singing either... so you shouldn't be feeling too overwhelmed. For now at least.

* Les paroles de Masashi ne pouvaient être plus encourageantes, et Ryoku se tourna vers lui, les yeux étincelants. C'Étaient des mots qu'il avait réellement besoin d'entendre. Il sourit de plus belle et rougit, puis se renfonça dans son siège, fermant les yeux en se sentant réconforté. Des fois, l'expérience et l'amour de Masashi lui donnait exactement ce qu'il avait besoin d'entendre. *

I have to admit im quite eager to see the D-Teks's dance. Having Silver dance makes sense, but Arashi-san.. I've never seen him dance. Nishi-chan either! And Im sure he wouldn't do it if he weren't sure to be great! I really don't know what he'll pull off...

There are a few other good dancers. Have you wondered about Tamafune?

Ah.... >.> Since he seems to be good in everything he does, I wouldn't be surprised if D-Teks show a very good dance. Silver and the Natsuki girl probably know a few moves. I'm ...err.. I'm not sure what to expect out of Arashi-san and the other two. Haha ^^' I think I'm actually looking forward to seeing my father dance ^^'' they'll totally suck and it will be so much fun to watch ^^' Juri and Jinei have the weirdest ideas of all times.

I expect Liaison and Children to be the worst teams. The Sparkles ...will be all over the place. The summons will probably be decently good. Destiny's Kiss? Torii and Etsuko will probably make us laugh. Then there's the Vicious ... well I guess we know what to expect out of them. I wonder how "devious" they'll be going. OH. Oh no '_'

Hahaha forget that, I'm eager to see the Geeks! Hahahah!

*Masashi avait bien de la difficulté de ne pas rire à imaginer les deux Welch, Jiyu et Yasahiro. Clairement Maeko pourrait faire tous les temps du monde et sortir les meilleurs moves, jamais les Geeks ne pourraient gagner. Penser ainsi à toutes les équipes lui avait fait du bien et l'avait d'autant plus rassuré par rapport à leur future performance. Il acquiesca en penchant un peu la tête vers Ryoku.*

I wonder if all the teams worked as hard as we did. Heck, if D-Teks knew so much about OHU, they probably practiced their dance a long time ago! Pfft. Cheaters >.>

Hihihi, the Liaisons totally have figured out their way of being popular! Nobody can wait to see what crazy stuff they'll pull off! As for the geeks, my sister's got it, you'll see her rule over her team of nerdy dancers, it'll be hilarious !!

Geez, talking about this reminded of when we went to see your father. Luckily you haven't mentionned again your father and Eiki-san but you were quite traumatised back there ^^'

But you know Masa, so what they've practiced longer? Ok yeah they may be perfectly on time, but that doesn't mean their choreography's that hard or good looking. It'll be hard to win points with so many different body types in the same team. For music they rock, but for dancing.. Im positive we stand a chance. The five of us totally fit together. If we clearly remember the steps and give it our best to shine, it'll totally proove that cheating's not the way to go.

I know, I know you're right. But still... just that they have potentially cheated irritates me. I'm sure you'd want a fairplay competition too. But yeah, we totally have the advantage, no matter what trick they pull.

I agree with you all the way, Ryo. They could practice forever, they wouldn't beat us. We have the best team, we have the best choregraphy, we're in sync with our music and with each other. Everything fits and we're all high level on the scale of sexiness and awesomeness. Ha! They better be ready because we're in, and we're not letting them win these private wars ^~

*Masashi était bien fier de son jeu de mots et gigota un peu sur son siège. L'excitation et l'anticipation le réveillaient et il se sentait de plus en plus confiant. Il avait eu peur d'être le maillon faible, vu l'expérience de band et de danse des autres, mais finalement il trouvait que les 4 étaient plus ou moins du même niveau, avec Ryoku qui avait clairement le dessus. C'était parfait pour comment le tout était chorégraphié. Masashi acquiesca plusieurs fois.*

Il ouvrit sa fenêtre et sortit la tête dans le vent, regardant le nom de la rue qu'ils croisaient, puis se replaca sur son siège et ferma les yeux, profitant de la brise matinale sur son visage, replacant ses cheveux d'allure sauvage ce matin. Il était un peu plus silencieux le temps qu'il se sente à nouveau en contrôle du véhicule, puis monta le son de la musique alors qu'il entendit Private Wars qui débutait. Lui aussi commencait à sentir ce deuxième kick qui leur permettait de ne pas tomber depuis quelques jours.*

*Incapable de rester de marbre alors que leur performance aurait lieu ce jour, MAsashi bougeait ses mains sur le volant tel les moves de danse. Il pratiquait aussi ses expressions faciales, sachant l'importance de la qualité de celles-ci pour un performance. Son corps et son bassin bougeaient aussi autant que possible pour mimer la chorégraphie. Il mourrait d'impatience de la réaliser et de présenter ce chef d'oeuvre aux autres équipes et à la télévison japonaise. Masashi se doutait que Ryoku était tout aussi eager que lui, et c'était surement pourquoi il avait accepté d'aller plus vite. *

* Comme c'Était leur chanson, et que c'Était impossible de danser, Ryoku ferma les yeux et visualisa ses danseurs. Il revoyait tout l'affrontement aux autres équipes qui était fait par cette chanson, son meaning et sa prestance. Il avat tout jsute retrouvé sa voix normale la veille de Noel, mais rien ne l'empêchait de recommencer à chanter sous la douche, ou quand une chanson qui lui plaisait jouait. Celle-ci était la leur, alors il la fredonnait continuellement quand ils pratiquaient, la connaissant maintenant par coeur. Il ne realisait pas contre pas du tout qu'il reprenait tranqullement ses anciennes habitudes oubliées. Peut-être tait-ce trop naturel pour qu'il s'en rende compte? Ou peut-être n'Avait-il simplement plus aussi peur? Lorsque Private Wars se termina, il posa ses mains sur ses genoux, tentant de cntenir son excitation. *

Especially from the Vicious I guess, ne? D-Teks...they seem to want us to compete with them, but not in an harmful way. Like rivals I guess? ... They aren'T the ones who burnt us at least >.>

Hey Ryo? I'm confident about all of this. The idols, the dance, our performances, everything. Just like cheaters won't beat us, haters either. We're not only winning on the battlefield and on the dancefloor, but all of those Private Wars too.

Il portait plusieurs bracelets et sweat bands, surtout pour cacher les cicatrices en dessous, mais l'on voyait encore très bien toutes les couleurs des brûlures qu'il avait subi la semaine d'avant. Il paru un peu nostalgique. *
